HB13-1264, Repeal of the Death Penalty, hearing is still going strong after 8.5 hours. DA's say their job is seeking justice and disputes the assertion that the death penalty is used capriciously in CO. This hearing should have been scheduled with enough time to allow full public input into this discussion. This bill was put on the committee schedule less than 24 hours prior to the hearing. The people of Colorado deserved better for such an important subject.
